Stewardship campaign - November 6, 2022

Wow, what an inspiring kick-off to the stewardship campaign last Sunday! If you weren’t at the 10:30 service last Sunday and missed Shaun Hardy’s powerful words, you will definitely want to watch the video that Eric Reiffenstein made for us. And keep an eye out for the gorgeous sheep that Luis Correa from Buen Pastor has started making to put out on our front lawn—which may or may not be visible in the video but which we were introduced to during the service. They are beautiful!

I’m deeply grateful for the work of the newly-formed stewardship committee, Shaun Hardy, Jasciel Stamp, Ray Battistelli, and Vanvisa Sivali. You’ll notice the narrative budget on the back of the pledge card you received in the mail this week — it reminds me of what I love about Good Shepherd and inspires me to think about what we are going to be doing, together, in this next year. God is calling us to be church, together, in this time and in this place. Good Shepherd is a place for us to be nourished so that we can nourish others. I am really feeling the truth and the hope of that. Thank you so much, Shaun, Jasciel, Ray, and Vanvisa!

We are looking forward to Canon Robert Phillips’ visit on November 13. He will be preaching at the 10:30 service and will then hold an informational meeting about the transition process after the service. The meeting will be in a hybrid format—accessible via Zoom as well as in person.

That’s all for now. Take good care of yourselves and of each other this week. We look forward to seeing you soon.

WIth love,

Anna & Rosemary
