Good Shepherd's 4th annual "Cooking for Our Neighbors" volunteer day is Saturday, August 11! We'll be teaming up with Susan Callahan's "Campus Kitchens" program at the Universities at Shady Grove once again to prepare lunches and hot dinners for residents of the MCCH emergency shelter in Rockville and the Wells/Robertson House, a transitional residence for homeless families in Gaithersburg.
We will carpool from church at 9 AM for the 30-minute drive to Shady Grove - or you can meet us there at 9:30 AM. A full morning of fun, camaraderie, and sampling delicious food is guaranteed! Following our cooking extravaganza we'll return to Good Shepherd around lunchtime.
We need 20 volunteers to make it happen. Last year Good Shepherd turned out in force and we can do it again! Please contact Shaun Hardy (shardy@ciw.edu) to sign up.
